As we begin the 21st Century, the importance of the type of education provided at Northeast Kansas Technical College assumes a larger role within the businesses and industries in our community and surrounding areas. The technical education programs at NEKTC strive to serve as a workforce and economic development resource for students, employers, and the community.
Each program strives to provide the most current and technologically relevant education possible. The instruction is student-focused and user-friendly, and delivered in the most effective, technologically assisted manner possible. Instruction reflects the working environments in which students will be employed upon graduation.
Our purpose is to serve as a model institution of higher education where all individuals are accepted and valued in their unique pursuit of knowledge, skills, and attitudes that culminate in the awarding of certificates of completion, diplomas, or Associate of Applied Science degrees.
In addition, our purpose is to assure that the general education courses, provided through partnerships with local institutions of higher education, complement the technical education programs to enhance personal and professional growth.
